To put it in context: Should the world support peace on Russia’s terms, even though Russia started the war? That would set a dangerous precedent.
I see no reason why Europe should oppose a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine—if it’s based on restoring the situation before 2014, including the reversal of Crimea’s annexation.
I try to stay away from commenting too much on who is to blame for what. The situation in Ukraine is very complex. My focus is on where it could go from there, what that means to each of us, and how to mitigate its impact by applying biblical principles to our relationships and systems where we can make a difference - our local communities.
